I would really like Allardyce to fail
I detest this bloke, one of the most arrogant mugs you see in the game.

Don't give a fuck about Sunderland but don't wish them any ill will - however would like to see the fat cunt get relegated simply to dispel the myth of his 'greatness'.

He very nearly ruined our club, Christ I'm glad we sacked the arsehole when we did.

Allardyce = fixed mindset

Bilic = growth mindset

Simple as that really, pretty much describes their attitudes here

I must admit I watched Allardyce's post match interview on Saturday with the moaning about refs and talk of clinging onto a 0-0 as the height of his ambition and then thought of Payet dinking the ball over the keeper and laughed like a DRAIN.

Good post chim, I just can't get into the hate side that much. The euphoria that I am in now, AFTER the last two years of BFS bilge is too much for my tiny brain. Bilic has wiped my memory clean so I can start anew.

Re: I would really like Allardyce to fail
To me, that tribalism, pantomime, sometime wrong-headedness, crackling danger and pure love and hate is part of the many reasons we all love football.

When Allardyce left I felt a huge sense of relief that the awful medicine we all had to take had come to an end. The club was on its feet again and maybe I could renew my season ticket with some kind of enthusiasm. I did appreciate that we needed at that time to take bad medicine and Allardyce sure as shit provided it.

I appreciate the fact that Allardyce steadied the ship but he could have made it much easier for himself and us if he'd just developed a hint of humility and not treated the people who pay his wages as the enemy. The football was (on the whole but not always) ugly but it was the character of the man I had such a problem with.

Maybe the gods of football worked mysteriously and made Allardyce stay a year longer than was necessary so Bilic could walk straight in unhindered by other commitments? Who the fuck knows?

I didn't think much about him when he left as I was more interested in who would replace him but it seems that ever since he went he's hardly paused for breath in his quest to seemingly defame and disrupt us. It must hurt him a lot that Bilic has started so spectacularly.

I think at the heart of the media is the fact that Allardyce is English and they all want an English manager to well. Like the other cunt Redknapp, he's good for a sound-byte and 24 hour news means he'll always get an audience for the old bollocks he spouts.

The rest of us don't have any platform beyond here and the terraces to tell him what a pig we think he is and naturally want him to royally fuck up his next job and disprove the myth that he's a great tactician. A myth that has only ever really been spread around by him.

Second only to West Ham having a great season in terms of fun will be him failing miserably, blaming individual players (by name), match officials, throwing games against the teams that he's 'not really expected to beat' (like Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool?), bizarre substitutions, nepotism, spending stupid money on players and not playing them, constant tinkering and meaningless and often contradictory statistical analysis.

It gives me a lovely warm feeling to know it'll have NOTHING to do with West Ham United.

When YOU say YOU are YOU referring to ME YOU or THEM YOU. If your YOU is ME then I accept that YOU could be right about ME.

Re: I would really like Allardyce to fail
I used to be completely indifferent to Sunderland and I still am. I can't stand the deluded, fat prick but have no interest in whether or not he keeps them up. We all know that, whatever happens, it won't change his view of his talents or his view of his record, and he'll twist events in such a way as to keep the myth alive, so why worry about what happens?

He's not going to turn around when he gets them relegated and say "you know what, those West Ham and Newcastle fans were right about me all along", at which point we will all let off a party popper and do a celebratory Lambeth walk within the sound of the Bow Bells.

Re: I would really like Allardyce to fail

That's the bit I don't get either. It's as if everyone has only got an hour a week to spend on supporting west ham and if use up fifteen minutes of it thinking about BFS then you're not a very good supporter.

Re: I would really like Allardyce to fail
I don't see what the issue is with not wanting (any) other teams to do well if they play in the same league as your team.

Any given team does not actually have to be playing your team at the time for you to not want it to do well in any given game - shit, it doesn't have to be anywhere near your team in the league table for you to want it to accumulate as few points as possible.

Now here's the surprise. Some of you may need to get a glass of cold water and sit down before reading on.

You (That's YOU, that is) can like or dislike some teams more than others, for reasons you don't need to explain or justify. Amazeballs, eh?

What's more, you (that's STILL you, that is) can change your mind as often as you like, whenever you like, for whatever reason you like. Totally RANDOM, dude!

So it's not unreasonable if, for instance, you were fairly indifferent about how Sunderland did up until last week, but now they're managed by someone who's football gave YOU what YOU feel were a turgid few years, for that feeling of indifference to me modified.

No doubt if they get relegated by Christmas you can have a re-think, should you so desire.

If there was a world championship of arguing the toss, you'd beat my missus in the final by boring her to death just like all your previous opponents.

Re: I would really like Allardyce to fail
Why do people seem to think you can either enjoy the football and spirit around the club now OR hate Allardyce but not both at the same time?

And does anyone ever remember when someone had their mind changed by an argument on here...ever?

You happy-clappy jester hats can look at West Ham in complete isolation and the unpleasant types can hope the fat, horrible, arrogant, deluded West Ham bad-mouthing fucking cunt chokes on a chip and FUCKING DIES.

I'm not going to say what side of that fence I sit on though.
